Intmd8r Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) Here’s my new favorite paint job and current completed build. I normally struggle with glossy paint, so this is a real win for me. Paint is Testors Inca Gold, Testors White Pearl (firewall), and Duplicolor clear. Edited March 27, 2017 by Intmd8r
ZIL 111V Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Testors Purple metal flake + MM clear coats, not an easy enamel color to work with, but got thru!:
Pete J. Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 I know it is monochromatic, but the design and the little touches just seemed to all come together on this one.

NickFranklin Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Looking for the type and shade of paint of paint used on a project featured in this forum. I included a photo for anyone who's willing to help out a fellow modeler. Thanks 1
RestoModGuy Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Testors RootBeer Metallic with Tamiya Pearl and Wet Look Clear polished 1
horsepower Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 This one has not been built yest but is one of the tough mask jobs. It was painted Krylon(old formula lacquer)White then Tamiya TS-47 Chrome Yellow and to finish Krylon Lacquer Black. Note the driver "John Winter" was fake name because the real driver didn't want his family to know he was racing. Out of curiosity, does the NewMan sponsorship have anything to do with the drivers true identity?
Bill Eh? Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Out of curiosity, does the NewMan sponsorship have anything to do with the drivers true identity?Extremely nice masking and paint job on this iconic 956. Well done!John Winter was Louis Krages, a German businessman/racer. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_KragesNewMan was a French label of men's fashion clothing. Sorry, no secret identity here.
