Fanof69 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Hello again. This is the Monogram '71 Plymouth GTX 1:24 kit. I started this several months ago and has kind of been to the back burner on and off several times. I finally spent about a weeks worth of nights after work and finished it up. It's a decent kit that goes together pretty well, save for the Air Grabber hood scope. That took a little bit of work to get it to sit straight.(its still not perfect but its close). The GTX emblem on the trunk lid only came in red and I almost left it off because it really doesn't go with the paint scheme, but I guess it looks alright and is starting to grow on me. Anyway on to the pics. As always thanks for looking and comments welcome.
Mike C Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Looks really nice. I built one of those once. I think I posted it here.
Burnout Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 That's really nice. Scoop, emblem and all - it looks really good.
mustang1989 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) Man that's one nice ride you've got yourself there Terry! Wow! That color looks great!!! Edited June 16, 2016 by mustang1989
louie Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 What a beautiful build. The interior looks terrific too ! I'd swear that it was a real car that is how good it looks and the GTX emblem looks excellent and I think that you made the right choice by installing it. Thanks. Jeff
bogger44 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Great looking GTX, love the color. Very clean and sharp build, Terry.
95neon Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Excellent build of an excellent kit. Really nice work!
Fanof69 Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Wow guys thanks for all the great comments! Much appreciated!!
Jantrix Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Very cleanly done. Good paint with the right amount of gloss for a factory car. Good detailing and foil work. Excellent job.
Smitty Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Nicely done Terry. Very sharp. The interior looks good too. I like the fact that you chose a non-high impact colour. It sets it apart I think.
Roadrunner Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Yours looks just great. I too am wondering about the color. I have the same kit almost ready for primer now, but have to scribe around the hood, and I've been too lazy to do it.
