GeeBee Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Finally got this one finished this morning, after building three different Trabant's, I'm going to have a break from them, and probably won't be going back in the hobby room for a while, as I'm just too busy with my photography It was painted in genuine Trabant Glacier blue, not the best paint I've ever worked with, but at least it authentic to the original 1:1
Skip Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Geoff, another winner! These little cars kind of grow on you. Hopefully that genuine Trabant paint holds up better than on some of the cars! I see what you meant in your other thread about the paint being shiny when fresh on the real thing, looks very good.
Mr Stock Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Great job as always Geoff, your models are always very cleanly built.
thatz4u Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 nice as usual, let us know when you're building again, Al
Foxer Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I really like this iteration ... that paint makes it! Sky Blue seems to be the new white.
Mike C Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Nice build of one of the worst quality cars. Better than the 1:1 car.
Zoom Zoom Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 No real Trabant left the factory half as nice as this model!
