mikemodeler Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Ahhh those tires! Well, I'm not a fan of "mudder" tires, at least on a Bronco. While that won't break the sale of one of those to me, I'd rather have mine look like this............. Yup! Whitewalls and all! BTW, has Revell said what year this Bronco kit is supposed to be?? This is a '75 I have pictured. I think that is what Revell is shooting for Bill. I don't think the tires (from what I can tell) will be aggressive mud tires, but a better rendition than those old MPC Suburbanite snow tires seen in their Jeep kits. As far as model year, don't recall a specific one but I think it was mentioned somewhere it was late 60's/early 70's.
keyser Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 That's a nice honest looking Ranger. Someone's been dragging boots over the sill for many years, but still kept it nice. Not quck and dirty restoration like so many. Love it. Whitewalls suit it. A real UV that was sporty. So glad we get one after 50 years. Can't believe it's been that long.
Lordmodelbuilder Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I think the year could be 1966-76. 1977 would have had doors over the gas filler necks.Never thought I would see this kit kitted. Going to have to buy a bunch of them. Thank you Revell!
Vince Nemanic Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Correct me if I'm wrong, but when looking at the parts trees I noticed ONE drive axle and Twin I-Beams. So unlike the box art, this is a two wheel drive kit. I'll be happy with that, but some people won't.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 There's a tree sure looks as if it has I-beams, but there's another just by the tires has two solid axles on it, one with an offset differential. Boxcover illustration, possibly a very heavily retouched shot of the model, also has a differential visible up front.Trailing arms, maybe?
Rob Hall Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Going by the box art pic posted somewhere, the Bronco looks to be a 70-76. The '68-69 had different side marker lights mounted lower on the front fenders. Edited September 1, 2016 by Rob Hall

Deathgoblin Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Have to say I'll be getting the Bronco, The new Vette and the Cadillac Lowrider.
