Porscheman Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 This one wasn't to bad when I bought, but it needed something. So here's my idea for brightening it up. I still need to add the vent window posts, but the LHS that carry Plastruct is kind of a drive for me. I think it looks a lot better, what do you think? StevenGuthmiller Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 I think it looks great! Although I'm not real keen on those bright yellows. Something a little more subdued would have probably been more appropriate for a cruiser like this. But, if brightening it up was your goal, you surely accomplished that! I have this same kit that I plan to do in the future. Mine will be a pale metallic purple called "Light Mauve". Steve
bbowser Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Won't miss that one on the highway! Nice work.
Sixties Sam Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Oh, that's NICE! The yellow is cool! Great restoration of a seldom seen model!Sam
Snake45 Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Very nice! Nothing I like better than a great resto/rebuild, and you did this one proud!I'll be glad to send you some sheet styrene, and you can (with a straightedge and Xacto) cut strips to make those vent window frames. PM me your address.
Furiousgeorge Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 A great build of a great car! I had a '66 Sport Fury a few years back, though it was the most terrible green you've ever seen inside and out, it drove and rode like a dream! Good job!
berr13 Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 whoa, that's a complete 180! Excellent looking model!!
Porscheman Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. I missed this kit when it came out in 1966 and have been looking for one every since. I picked this one up at a swap meet at the Jersey Shore MCC meeting for $30.00, it was a dream come true. Al
