Vilperi Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Another Airtrax kit completed. I really enjoy building those unusual european cars. Still learning, but every build seem to turn out better so far.
disabled modeler Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 WOW..! Very nice work...cool looking car too.
Kit Basher Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Good job! Paint, BMF, engine bay, and weathering all very nicely done.
Crazy Ed Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Really good job on a Car that is rearly seen.
peekay Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Great to see such an unusual subject and it must be a real challenge to get a resin kit to look so good. Very fine work.
ChrisBcritter Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Beautiful work - and Airtrax kits never cease to amaze me. How did you do the chrome on the bumpers?
MrObsessive Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Very nice and quite an unusual subject! I know the car, but I've never seen any of those here in the states. I can remember seeing another model Opel (Kapitan?) as a kid, but its styling was a bit different with a late '50's/early '60s very GM-like wraparound windshield.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 This looks great!!Have a friend that owns one, and the model is spot on. Always thought the engine to look like a small version of the Chevy 151 four. It sounds just like it.
W-409 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 That's very nice! Couple of times I've been thinking about buying one of these bodies, it would look great as an old Drag Car, but never bought one yet. Nice to see one built Factory Stock too, especially when it's done as nicely as this. Excellent work overall! Nice and smooth paint job and flawless detailing too. All BMFs on chrome trims are so nice and smooth plus that I like that minor weathering in chassis too.
ZIL 111V Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Very, very nice, beautiful work.Indeed funny to see some small GM design influence (Twin "lipstick" caddy tail lights).
Eric Macleod Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Here is a kit I never knew existed and exceptionally well done too. Bravo!
