donb Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Haven't posted in awhile but that about to change. Here is a Monogram 69 GTO. Shaved door handles and emblems. Painted with Duplicolor Metal Specks Burnt Copper (over black primer), cleared with Duplicolor clear and buffed out. Wheels are Pegasus Vanquish.
Harry P. Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Wow! Nice color, beautiful paint. But aren't the front wheels a little too far rearward? Not centered in the wheelwells.
donb Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Wow! Nice color, beautiful paint. But aren't the front wheels a little too far rearward? Not centered in the wheelwells. Thanks Harry - Yeah I tried to get them to align better but that's the way the chassis fit into the body. a little disappointed with that.
Snake45 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I LOVE that paint! Will have to look for that. I can think of a few projects in the work it would look great on.
RestoModGuy Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Great looking paint work, the color fits this build nicely. I have this kit and after seeing yours, may need to dig it out and do a quick nice looking Pro-Touring build like yours, well done!
bbowser Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Not a fan of the wheels, but outstanding paint job! Nice work.

espo Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Beautiful build and the color looks perfect for that body style.
Sledsel Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Looks great! I am building this kit and it is driving me batty...... every time I paint it, something happens to the paint and in the purple bath. 4 times so far! ARGH
RAMBENNA Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 awesome goat, looks great. really cool color.
donb Posted October 16, 2016 Author Posted October 16, 2016 Thanks Andy and ClifAndy - this had 3 go rounds with stripping the paint. Started out silver, Could not get the orange of the mold to NOT bleed through even with sealer. Decided on this color in case it bled again.Glad I did.
towman1271 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 All around nice build.. Great color & paintjob
