mangodart Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Hi guys, Back with a new built, this time it's a resto I've done on a very good built kit by a good friend of mine. A Johan 62 Plymouth Fury Htop. I've just polished the paint to a shiny effect, put some BMF around the wheels well, detailed the emblems and decide to change the wheels as the stock hubcaps were kind of flat so I go with Torque thrust. Hope you'll like it !!
AC Norton Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 boy, that's super nice....great work there on that Mopar.........the Ace....
Harry P. Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Good looking model of a good looking car. You can almost never go wrong with Torq Thrust wheels...I think they work on almost any car.
Modlbldr Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Nice looking model. Love the change to the Torque Thrusts. I never realized how much the rear reminds me of a Corvair. Anybody else?Later-
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Now that's sweet! Some how, I never really thought this kit could look this good.Great job Emmanuel!Someday, I need to get going on my convertible. Steve
CometMan Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Very nice Emmanuel! Don't see that one very often!
Phirewriter Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 That is good looking resto/upgrade, nice shade of red and completely agree with Harry on the wheels. I know there are a few who are kind of done with Torq Thrust wheels, but I've always thought they are some of the best looking/designed wheels. They look good on most anything (pre 70's)
bbowser Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 That's a beauty! Don't often see one of those in red, nice choice.
Chuck Mols Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Great look and stance, I can hear the rumble.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Model looks great.Car wise, this one can't hold a candle to the '58. Now THAT is some art on wheels.
High octane Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Very nice build on that Mayflower as I just love dem Mopars!
moparfarmer Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 That is a pretty sweet ride..The resto is very nicely done as is the BMF..Torque Thust wheels are da bomb....Very clean,clean,clean..
Yahshu Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Almost thought I was looking at a real car until I seen the molded in 1962 number plate. Very very nice.
carman1 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Very nice build, I wish I still had all my old JoHan kits !
peekay Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Great looking model! I built one of these a few years ago but didn't detail it as finely as you have.
espo Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Great looking build. I'm in the Torque Thrust camp but the early MoPars were just as often seen with chrome Cragers. In '62 if this was one of the 413's with a Torquflite you had better have it pointed in the right direction when you dropped the hammer on it.
