cobraman Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Finished this up this morning. Started with the Der Beetle Bus kit by AMT . Cut up and modified the body to fit the chassis from the MPC Jawbreaker kit. Cut the rear wheel wells open and modified the roof section as well. Scratch built the interior, wired the engine with a MAD distributor.Modified the headers and put a fuel line in from the fuel tank. Red, white and blue paint was all Krylon Short Cuts as well as the clear. As always I welcome comments pro or con.
BIGTRUCK Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Ray, did you drop the body on a dragster frame?
Jmaracing Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Ray you did a awesome job. Love how the headers go out the back.great build!!

slusher Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Ray, you hit a home run on this build. I really like this one bro !! Love the color scheme ... Edited November 8, 2016 by slusher
cobraman Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 Thank you much guys. Yes ,the body is over the dragster frame with a bar mounted in the bed which rests on the frame. In hindsight I should have thought through the headers. The way I mounted them makes it removing the body not possible. The headers are glued to cutouts I made in the rear section. I always mess up something, it never fails. Time to mess up another one ! : )
