bogger44 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 (edited) Other than maybe adding a wash to the wheels to darken them up a bit, I'm calling this one done. This kit went together pretty well, though I'm not real crazy the way the wheels attach to the hubs/brakes, and I had a hard time with mounting the fog lights. Paint is Tamiya TS-19 Metallic Blue, I didn't get a super shine out of it so I guess I'll call this a daily driver Lol. I had a bit of a hard time getting some good shots in the sun, so I took some with the sun blocked out for a bit of a filter effect, too. Oh, and I did paint the radiator cap after the shoot! Belugawrx Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Beautiful clean build Tony Nice outdoor shots,...wish I was there Thanks for sharing that ! Cheers
David G. Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Looks like you darkened the panel lines on the door interiors, nice touch. Well done over all.David G.
DumpyDan Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Nice, this is really nice interior is soooo nice
PARTSMARTY Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Very very cool mopar !!!-how did you like this kit?
espo Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Beautiful very clean build. I agree with David G. with the detailing of the door and trunk lines. It makes it look just that much more like the real thing. The paint looks great but if you want a little bit more gloss in the future you might try a coat or two of Tamiya TS-13 Clear.
bogger44 Posted November 27, 2016 Author Posted November 27, 2016 Thanks a lot guys.Very very cool mopar !!!-how did you like this kit?Overall this kit went together really well, I ran into only a couple minor issues (as noted above). I'd recommend it to anyone, I might try to snap up another one or two of them.Beautiful very clean build. I agree with David G. with the detailing of the door and trunk lines. It makes it look just that much more like the real thing. The paint looks great but if you want a little bit more gloss in the future you might try a coat or two of Tamiya TS-13 Clear. I agree about washing the panel lines. It's something I used to always overlook but now it's something I have to do to every build. I've been starting to add that detail to some of my older builds now, too. I really do need to pick up some Tamiya gloss sometime. For this one I did spray some Testors clear lacquer over it and polished it. While I didn't get a great shine, I'm ok with it.
slusher Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Real good looking build Tony. Nice and clean also..

smellyfatdude Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Sweet! I'd always thought these cars looked better with the chrome bumpers, but I might have just changed my mind!
