martinfan5 Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 With the paint I wanted for this now finally available for it( paint has been ordered) , it was time to get started on it. Engine mostly done, I need to touch up the black, but I doubt I am going to do a lot more since it will be hidden once finished.
Jhedir6 Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) Nice looking car. Who makes the kit?Later- Its the newest release from Tamiya.Looks good Jonathan. How's the engineering? martinfan5 Posted December 5, 2016 Author Posted December 5, 2016 Thank you guys I think this should answer the question as to what color I am going to paint it.
Randy D Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Hi Jonathan, The chassis, suspension and motor are looking great ! That color should be sweet Randy
Bennyg Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Very nice. I'm planning to do mine in pearl white or pure red. I'm leaning more towards pearl white as there are a few Ferrari's and they're red.Ben
JerseyRed Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Thank you guys I think this should answer the question as to what color I am going to paint it. That's going to look great.
martinfan5 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 Moving forward , started working on the interior , let's start with the dash, stripped the chrome on the middle section, top/bottom was painted in Tamiya Nato Black, steering wheel/column in semi gloss blackJumping forward, one completed interior , interior tub and seats painted in a flat black. Now, I am not going to lie, I am not 100% happy with the interior, I did attempt to do a black/white interior theme, but it did not turned out very well, so I just went to all black. And a more closer to finished chassis, all that is left at this point I believe is the two flat panels for the underside and the brake rotors, I have still yet to paint them, and I am trying to find a color, ( preferably in the Metalizer line) that is close to the Carbon Ceramic colorAnd how about this one( first coat,no pearl coat( mid coat) yet)

That blue looks phenomenal. Gonna look so good with the pearl and clear on it. Looking forward to more. David
kelson Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Have you maybe considered mixing colors to create the carbon ceramic color on the brake rotors?
Davewilly Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 looks pretty cool so far. Looks like a pretty nice kit. I might have to add it to my "Wants" list
martinfan5 Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 Have you maybe considered mixing colors to create the carbon ceramic color on the brake rotors?I did, and I did
martinfan5 Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 The brakes, finally got them done, mixed Tamiya Met Grey and Tamiya Flat black and air brushed them. Clear coated, time for polishing.
