6bblbird Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 My only completion for 2016 but at least it got me back to the bench. I have some great projects planned for next year. This is a replica of a factory built A990 sedan built by Chrysler specifically for Super Stock competition in "as delivered" condition. For construction photos see the Drag Racing section.
madhorseman Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Love those Super Stock Mo Par's!!Beautifully done Walter, just Beautiful!!
Intmd8r Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Love it! I can totally vision the 1:1 prowling the dark streets on a Saturday night.
espo Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Bad to the bone. These cars were only afraid of each other at the strip. You really captured the appearance on this one.
gtx6970 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Way cool. Well done. Just wish we didnt have to buy 2 kits to uild this. Come on Butch Leal kit please.

You're right, but it's not a bad thing to have extra parts! Here is what I'm doing with the "left over" body: Oh wait! I just realized that I'll need another Belvedere II kit for the interior! High octane Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 You're right, but it's not a bad thing to have extra parts! Here is what I'm doing with the "left over" body: Oh wait! I just realized that I'll need another Belvedere II kit for the interior! Very nice job on that body. I just found one of those bodies that I had purchased from MCW several years ago.
6bblbird Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) I have a couple of those MCW bodies. Let me just say that it will be easier to get the results that I want using the Moebius body than dealing with repairing the resin, unwarping the hood, getting the grille to fit, etc.. Don't get me wrong, I've gotten some great MCW resin but the '65 Plymouth is not one of them.WF Edited January 2, 2017 by 6bblbird
6bblbird Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Thanks for all the nice comments! Expect to see a bunch more of these from me! Might get boring.
Dann Tier Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I love everything about this!!, another perfect example that you don't need a lot of "go fast" stickers, or aftermarket parts to get the "i'm not quite sure I wanna challenge that car" look. -Also, nice to see a clean garage for a change!, some of us still keep them clean
PARTSMARTY Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Absolutely awesome build of such a classic mopar !!!
SVTInterceptor Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 This thing is awesome man! I just picked up this kit a week ago and was thinking of a nice black paint job, steelies, but a red interior. Looks great!
