Kenny900 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Looking to make this out of an international prostar. The cat and the prostar are basically the same truck, just badged different with a different engine and gearbox. I don't have the kit as of yet, I'm working on getting one. I plan on getting the moebius kit for this project. Its great to see so much inspiration again on the forum though. I look forward to seeing all your work guys!

Did you get a hold of a conversion kit from Tony.
Kenny900 Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Did you get a hold of a conversion kit from Tony.I wasn't even aware of a conversion kit for these. I was going to attempt remaking the outside features myself, and have a try at an interior conversion. But if the work has already been done, I'm definitely interested in a kit. How much are they?
cowboy rich Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Nice I didn't know that it was a production truck.
Chu Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Yeah looks like an interesting project!!! I will look forward to see your progress.
Canso65 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 This is going to be a cool project Daniel. I've seen a couple of these out on the road and wondered if we would ever see this released in a kit. Nothing like making your own though.

kilrathy10 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 The Prostar is one of my favorite kits....I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do to make it a CAT.....Great idea....
Kenny900 Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 Doesn't look like I'm going to be making any progress anytime soon, with school and trying to find part time work and cadets and whatever else I'm doing this year. Even my western star has stalled, and been shelved until I find some free time. Hopefully I'll have found a kit and started by next month, I'll see how things go.cheers guys???
signguy2108 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Nice project, I look forward to seeing the progress. Just watch out for guys in suits knocking on your door. I got a nasty letter from CAT years back about making decals, long before the world wide web!
lapazleo Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Somebody here on the forum was doing the same conversion should be able to find it. Seems like it was 6 months to a year ago. Was making good progress as I recall.
Tesla Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I can't be certain if these projects were ever completed... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=103055
