highwayman58 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 This is an old AMT kit that I built. It's a stock build other some detailing of the engine and interior.Paint is Dupli-Color Bahama blue met.Feel free to comment.
Snake45 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Great paint! What paint is it? Also, I dunno if it's just the lighting or you deliberately accomplished this in some way, but I love how the seats look slightly dirty, like people have actually been sitting on them. Well done! Also, unless you swapped roofs for some reason, that's not a Grand Prix. Looks like it might be one of those AMT Catalina 2+2 bodies. Either way, sweet build!
JerseyRed Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Interior detailing is really sharp. Nice job!
58 Impala Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Nice job, always loved the big Pontiacs. (Second only to Impalas).
CometMan Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Very nice, Paul! Especially like your interior work.
donb Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 I think these cars were some of the finest style's by GM. You did a real nice job on it too. Nice color.
bbowser Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Nice job, always loved the big Pontiacs. (Second only to Impalas). X2! Love the color.
highwayman58 Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 Thanks for all the comments. It was one of my first builds after being away from it for 30 years. I've never done foiling before, that was definitely a challenge. It was a fun build. I've learned a lot from these forums. That's what it's all about people helping people.
D. Battista Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Very nice , I like the paint color.I Agree...!
charlie8575 Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 The color looks a lot like 1966 Barrier Blue. Not too bad looking on that big car.For such a long hiatus, you did a very credible job.Charlie Larkin
