crossfire 2004 Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 One of Tom Daniels better designs in my mind, it could almost pass for the real deal. I was not impressed with the kit decals and the Drill Sergeant set I had led to a military theme being born. Box stock except the front wheels as there was one missing when I bought the kit. 2
Alan Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Very cool, those decal are a natural for this one !!
Mooneyzs Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) I am totally digging this build and I really like the theme you went with. I think it looks great in that Mil Spec green and drill sargent decals. I have had one of these kits in my collection for years that still hasn't been built. I am a big El Camino fan considering I own a 1;1. Again Nice work, it looks great Edited January 14, 2017 by Mooneyzs
DumpyDan Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Very cool, those decal are a natural for this one !!AGREED!

Snake45 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Very nice! You really made some tasty lemonade with this one. It's SO nice I'd have never guessed it was originally a Tom Daniel joint....
crossfire 2004 Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 Thank you for the kind words gentlemen, sometimes you just get an idea that works as well in plastic as it did in your twisted mind.
D. Battista Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 I searched for a couple years before I found a good deal on this kit in a nice box.. One of my favorite Tom Daniel designs also...!You did an awesome job with this one ... Really looks cool with those graphics....!!!
Davewilly Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Great build on this!! I also dig this car. I have a unbuilt kit of it and a pretty decent built up that was unpainted I am planning on re doing
disabled modeler Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Very nice build..! I have always liked this kit and the others like it that were made...cool idea.
gasser59 Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 As others have said, these decals matched up quite well with the kit. I too have thought this would make for a practical strip car. You've done this kit proud.
TarheelRick Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Very well done. Especially like the military theme, although would have preferred a USAF approach since I am retired Air Force, but I guess the USMC will suffice.
John Verkerk Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 OH YEAH!! WORKS FOR ME !! VERY NICE TOUCH WITH THE DECALS!!
Metaldrumm Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Yea cool build looks better than the original version ??
ea0863 Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Just so you know; still looks great after all these years!
