Eliminator_ryan Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 65 Chevelle mini-tubbed, lowered on scale 20-22's
bbowser Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Not a fan of the wheels, but that's a great looking model!
espo Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Very nice clean build. While they look good I think the wheels are a little disproportionate in size, but that seems to be the style.
D. Battista Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Not a fan of the wheels, but that's a great looking model!I Agree...!
TarheelRick Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Sure makes me miss my '65 SS. Like the build, as others have said, not really crazy about the size of the wheels. What is that color? Too bad Revell didn't include the SS rear fascia on this model.
Eliminator_ryan Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) Thanks guys it is Tamiya Pearl Coral, rims are bigger but look better in person. This was the pro touring look i was after: Edited January 14, 2017 by Eliminator_ryan
Modlbldr Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Wow! Love your build. The color is odd but looks great on this car because it is so different. Great work.Later-
gilsdropshop1 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Awesome ride like the color and wheels I'm a pegasus wheel junkie i have over 100 sets but when I build my rides i usually go big n little style just my two cents!
PorkChopPaws Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Building a 65 Malibu right now...how did you tub it? Nice work.
kilrathy10 Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 That looks really good with those wheels on it.....Wow !!! Man, that looks good....
Eliminator_ryan Posted January 17, 2017 Author Posted January 17, 2017 Building a 65 Malibu right now...how did you tub it? Nice work.I basically square cut the rear tubs and moved them in 1/16" just to tuck the rear tires and I sanded the front ones down and made shocks (styrene and pen springs) to lower the suspension all the war around,
