Scale-Master Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Just a quickie that will be given away as a present. A lot more fun than I expected, but then I also put more work into it than will ever be seen. Good slump-buster kit, even if you’re not in a slump…
James2 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 A beautiful build! Looks mostly box stock?Very clean and Sharp model!
DonW Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 The ideal shopping car!Does it have an engine and things?I like it-Don.
cobraman Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 I always liked that kit. You did a fine job on it .
Intmd8r Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 This is a tough kit to make it look good - but you did it!
gtx6970 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Very nice.I have one on the workbench right now actually. Body is painted , engine and chassis is done and Ive been trying to decide on an interior color ( not that one can see it anyway thru the red glass )
Snake45 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 That looks even better than the original Badman IMHO. Not a fan of the "cow catcher" front spoiler but otherwise, it captures the look, feel, and "vibe" of the era nearly perfectly. Well done!
Scale-Master Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 It is 100% out-of-the-box and it has an engine. Accurate? No. But not too visible once installed either. Best I can tell is it is a mash up of a small block and a 409, even though the graphics say 396 suggesting a big block.I know the person it is for will enjoy it and I had fun building it as a simple diversion from other projects.
espo Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I like how this turned out. My question is this an AMT body with the Revell Bad Man decals, or a Revell '55 Chevy tudoor that I was unaware of ?
Snake45 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I like how this turned out. My question is this an AMT body with the Revell Bad Man decals, or a Revell '55 Chevy tudoor that I was unaware of ?Revell did a diecast '55 Chev 2DS kit that was issued in Badman, America Graffiti, and possibly Two Lane Blacktop boxings. I built the AG one and really enjoyed it. I compared the body with the AMT 1/25 2DS body and found that it was true 1/25 (not 1/24) and very well done indeed. I wish I'd grabbed a few more of these when they were available.

It looks like something to consider in the future though.
Scale-Master Posted January 21, 2017 Author Posted January 21, 2017 I almost added a couple words to the rear...
geetee66 Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 Top build! Looks like it should be on the box!I've seen people slate this kit for various inaccuracies, but this shows none of that matters. What matters, is how much fun you have building it. And when it turns out as good as this, well...!
Snake45 Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 this isnt the monogram body is itThe kit's a Revell diecast from the early 2000s--see above.
