Finished the vette. Well I have to finish the trim on the hardtop and put the window in it but it's complete minus that! For those that wanted to see any work done I'll be updating the photobucket album along with my other work when I get a min. I've started conceptualizing my 92 firebird so keep an eye out for the to come! Thanks for looking!

Nicely done !  wheels look good on it...!

thanks! I really wasn't a fan of the wheels at first. I wasn't even going this color truth be told. At first I was going yellow, then decided I wanted black cherry. Which it did look that way in the jar while I was mixing it but it ended up being more of a burnt copper! Which I actually like a lot more than the cherry.

I gotta tellya, this came out a lot better than I thought when you posted the first photos. Only way you could make it better now would be with a body-colored top instead of the black soft top, but it's still hella cool. And you know I still love that color! Well done and model on!

hahahaha I have the hard top for it too snake! Just haven't finished the trim and gotten the window in it yet. And I have to agree 100% with you, after doing the baldy motion 69, and then this 68 which uses a lot of the same parts I didn't think it was going to come together as nice as it did.... my 69 isn't a looker... not to mention I sat on my floor staring at the thing for at least 3 days wondering what the hell I was going to do with it... on top of that I hated the wheels and rubber I used from the parts bin. But somehow by the grace of God it all worked out. By the way the color is just a mix of testors Aztec airbrush red pearl with some black acrylic gloss over grey auto primer, with future as the clear coat. I wanted kinda black cherry pearl but am definitely happy with the burnt copper look that it came out to be. I'm trying something a little different for the firebird I'm working on now. I'm working on shooting some irredescent green/blue nail polish.... not sure how it's going to work out but here's to hoping. I'll add the pic when I get the hardtop done!

Oh that is just gorgeous. Falls into the category of "I Wish I'd Built That"--just about my highest compliment! B)

Well thank you sir! I left the hard top on it when I put it on the shelf. It'll be my "w.w.s.d." "what would snake do?"

The world would be SUCH a much better place if everyone would just keep that in mind! B)
