ToyLvr
Actor Mike Connors, best known as TV detective "Mannix", passed away on Thursday 1/26/17, age 91. You model car nuts of a certain age will remember Mannix's first season car, a Barris-built custom '66 Olds Toronado. MPC made a kit of the car. The last I knew of it, the actual car was in the "Star Cars" museum in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Edited April 7, 2018 by ToyLvr
Snake45
First MTM, now Mannix? Is the Reaper wiping out the entire CBS Saturday night lineup? Who's next, Bob Newhart?
crazyjim
Was he related to Chuck Conners, The Rifleman?
madhorseman
First MTM, now Mannix? Is the Reaper wiping out the entire CBS Saturday night lineup? Who's next, Bob Newhart? So do You think CBS did something to pee him off?
Snake45
So do You think CBS did something to pee him off?I wouldn't have any idea what's going on at CBS. I haven't watched anything on that network since Jericho and The Unit went off, whenever that was, and I "fired" Letterman in the spring of 2009 over his repeated inane and hateful comments (after being a loyal fan of his since the late '70s). Dodge Driver
I doubt it it. "Mike's" birth name was Krekor Ohanian. He was Armenian, as memory serves. A success story from humble beginnings, I believe.

ToyLvr
Don't celebrities usual die in "3s"? We've lost MTM, Mike Connors, and Barbara Hale....
unclescott58
I loved Mannix. Connors was great. Bought the whole Mannix TV series on DVD just last year. The show was better than I remembered. Scott
Mike C
I liked Mannix too! When I was a kid I saw that Toronado at the NY auto show. But I don't remember it from the TV series. He always had Mopars. Edited February 7, 2017 by Mike C
peteski
I recently started watching Mannix reruns on MeTV.I never liked the lines of that custom Tornado. But all the Mopars were cool! Edited February 15, 2017 by peteski
