Ramfins59 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Oh yeay...... Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy...... We get another couple of higher monthly heating bills...!!!
espo Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I think this whole Ground Hog Day thing is just another way to deal with winter Cabin Fever. Has he never not seen his shadow ??
Mark Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Don't they say six more weeks of winter most of the time anyway? Chances are, there will be six more weeks of winter (which makes the prediction right), and if there aren't six more weeks of winter then you'll be happy about it and forget the "prediction" anyway...
tbill Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 after what seems like 8 months of winter already, i guess 6 more weeks isn't all that bad, lol
CometMan Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 The spring equinox happens around March 21 every year, so after Feb. 2, there is ALWAYS about six more weeks of winter!
dptydawg Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Not up here, Wiarton Willie saw no shadow (snowing too hard). So we'll only have a month and a half more winter, followed by another month of not quite spring yet.Carl
plastic trucker Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 But Groundhog Season begins today In PA. Gee, I wonder what ground hog tastes like?
vintagedragcrazy Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 Gee, I wonder what ground hog tastes like?I don't know maybe chicken like everything else that nobody knows for sure!! Lolvince
madhorseman Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Woodstock Willie said the same thing here too.Gee, I wonder what ground hog tastes like?I wonder if it taste like pulled pork?
426-Hemi Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 How is it that some animal seeing its own shadow can predict that we're gonna have 6 more weeks of any kinda weather? I'm from PA not to awful far from Punxsutawney to boot and I still don't believe that old folk lore and wives tale! -It after all is............. F-E-B-R-U-A-R-Y!
HomerS Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 No less accurate than the 'professional' weather forecasters that have millions of $$ worth of Doppler radar. As one of the local radio stations morning radio said about the one local weather hottie.....if you're going to give me complete inaccuracy, at least give me something to look at!

unclescott58 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Living in Minnesnowta, we have 6 more months of winter coming. Ground hog. Or no ground hog. ?Scott
426-Hemi Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 -My question is, how do they even KNOW that hog SEEN its own shadow anyway????? Does it stand up and say YEP theres my shadow to someone? GOOFY!!!! I agree if I'm gonna get a bad weather report at least give me something GOOD to look at! (or in my case a pleasant voice to hear) I listen to the radio WAY more then I watch TV!
