landman Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 (edited) Made up a rollbar out of wire. I think it is a bit small. Edited December 16, 2020 by landman
1930fordpickup Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I second that Ray. I don't think they roll bars for anything other then looks back then. And it looks good.
Belugawrx Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Love your shop PatCobra is looking great!Cheers
mustang1989 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Nice shine on that car body Pat. You know, I get just as much a kick out of what's in the background of these pics as I do the actual ongoing build itself. Adds a whole new dimension to the build.
landman Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Glad you guys find the background interesting, that was the intent. So it is doing its job. Which is satisfying.
landman Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 (edited) Assembled the car. I hadn't noticed the big notch in the rear of the side pipes. I think that rather than removing them I'll fill the notch with epoxy and then touch up the paint. Edited December 16, 2020 by landman
Hunter_alexander Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Just read this and looks great! Love the diorama as well. Awesome stuff!
landman Posted March 29, 2017 Author Posted March 29, 2017 (edited) Working on the windshield so graciously supplied by mod3lLover. I seem only have one of everything. The Plaskit clearance lights will be used for tailights. Scratching up the second parking light. I had painted them yellow in the initial build but white is more appropriate for the period. Working on making a hood latch handle. Please forgive the blur, these are rather small pieces. Edited December 16, 2020 by landman
landman Posted March 29, 2017 Author Posted March 29, 2017 (edited) Installed the parking, tail lights and hood latch handles. After the third set of windwings, I gave up and cutoff the windwing brackets and declared them optional. I had only three of the jack bumpers, one of which was broken so I declared them unnecessary as well. So it is as "fixed" as it is going to get. Edited December 16, 2020 by landman
