carsntrucks4you Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Here a Herny J Gasser. I used a Ross Gibson Chrysler Crossram RB, Hinges from Detail Master. The inner door and side panels are 3 D printed parts that I made. The rear tires and the AFB carbs are from Fireball Modelworks. Thanks to Chief Joseph from Fireball Modelworks Edited February 18, 2017 by carsntrucks4you
Metaldrumm Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Thats some cool stuff, very realistic ,nice work
bobthehobbyguy Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Nicely done. Great job on the weathering.
my80malibu Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Beautiful Engine. I am not familiar with Henry J's but were the window cranks, and door handles that long?
10thumbs Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Looks fairly wicked Joseph! I really like the choice of motors, always thought it might be good in a hot rod, and it's well built.Don't see any Henry J's here, great idea and its nice to see one finished too, lol. I like it.
carsntrucks4you Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Beautiful Engine. I am not familiar with Henry J's but were the window cranks, and door handles that long? No, but who cares
10thumbs Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 ....I am not familiar with Henry J's but were the window cranks, and door handles that long? No, but who caresNor were the bodies sold as somewhat rusted. No 383 cross Rams either. Jeez guys, it's a hot rod build. A gasser. A model.Love the Drag race Forum. Always so exact.
cobraman Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Nice work. I like it ,long window cranks and all !! : )
dungeonracer Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 I like it! Nothing wrong with a little rust as long as it looks fast!
Snake45 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Wow! I thought the first picture was a real car you were using for inspiration. When you can fool me like that, that's a MODEL!
signguy2108 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 (edited) Great looking gasser and it wound't matter it if it had a pr. of vice grips for a window crank! People on here tend to get too technical and try to ruin an otherwise great. lived thru that era and back then anything was "anything that fits, goes" Edited February 18, 2017 by signguy2108 spelling

carsntrucks4you Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 (edited) Thanks for you comment and critics Edited February 18, 2017 by carsntrucks4you
6bblbird Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 So, you can't crank the windows unless you open the doors. Only a problem when you try to get your time slip! lolVery cool model! Inner door panels look great and the rusty roof looks perfect!
D. Battista Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Pretty Cool Henry J...You did a nice job on it..!!
W-409 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 That's a great looking Henry J! I like that unique engine choice and you did a great job detailing it too. Great job weathering the body and the overall look is very nice. A great build for sure. But if you want to make it a Gasser, you'll need to add at least a rear bumper and full interior upholstery. Or then you could run in Altered like this.
misterNNL Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I really like what you accomplished here.Great detail work and paint also. These are very rare cars so where did you ever find reference material that had images of those interior door panels? It's details like those panels that IMHO make for very interesting models. Thanks for taking the time to take all these very crisp and clear photo to share!
