shoopdog Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Here's my take on the AMT 61 Ford Ranchero. Painted Model Master One Coat Laquer Fiery Orange with Future brushed on. I used the kit supplied decals and wheels . This was a first for me foiling the Ranchero script before painting and rubbing the paint off, I'll being doing that from now on. Thanks for looking.

6bblbird Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Big thumbs up! I would like to see that truck with Torque Thrusts.WF
Snake45 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Very, very nice indeed! Love the color and you got a great finish! About the only change I'd make would be to paint the spokes of the wheels with a flat silver, dark steel, or maybe even semigloss black.
Hubert Rollins Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Super sharp!! Awesome color!! Would you mind explaining to me the process you used on your emblems? I'm working on a '69 Camaro and ended up sanding them off and ordering a photo etch set. I always put 1-2 coats of paint and 6 coats of clear so it's easy to lose small details like emblems and badges. I do think it'll look awesome with the photo etch, but I'd rather have saved my money...

Paint as normal and after paint has dryed well use blunt toothpick to carefully scrape the paint off the emblem. This was my first attempt and I think it turned out ok.
