modelmatt Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) This is a first attempt to modify a box build. It's not perfect but I was happy considering it was trial and error. Edited March 13, 2017 by modelmatt
DeeCee Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 First attempt!! Well i hope it's not your last, this has turned out just great, it it obvious there were a few hic-ups, but nothing big,and as long as you learn from them, the next one will be even better. This is a great example of trying stuff. VERY NICE BUILD..
DumpyDan Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 nice , but not a 66 .Well done, great looking pictures
JerseyRed Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I think you switched years with your GTO you posted, this is the '68 not '66. Both are very cool though.
modelmatt Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 Thanks guys, Got the year wrong. I threw the box out.
espo Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Another great build. You really have your paint jobs dialed in. Is this based on the Revell or the AMT kit?? The hood just looks like the AMT.
modelmatt Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) Another great build. You really have your paint jobs dialed in. Is this based on the Revell or the AMT kit?? The hood just looks like the AMT. It was the AMT kit, The front fenders were separate. Thanks and yes it took a lot of trial and misses to finally get it right. If I could only keep the dust off, I wouldn't have to spend so much time sanding them out. lol Edited March 12, 2017 by modelmatt explanation
R. Thorne Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Nice job. I especially like the color. What paint did you use. Ron.

modelcarcrazy Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 You did a really nice job on that tired old kit, and it's actually a '72 year model.
