JollySipper Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Big fan of Metallica, even bigger fan of their frontman's cars....... The Crimson Ghost is probably my favorite.....
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 (edited) Well, sein' as how I worked with the shop that built this one (for several years while it was being built...though I didn't work ON this particular car), I'd have to say I like the guy's choices as to what he spends money on. Snake45 Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I like the Deuce better than the fat-fendered thing.
JollySipper Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 I like the Deuce better than the fat-fendered thing. That started out as a '37 Ford..... I've thought about trying to model it using the Revellogram kit........
High octane Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 That started out as a '37 Ford..... I've thought about trying to model it using the Revellogram kit........An excellent choice as it is one sweet lookin' ride.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 He usually works with Rick Dore, and the design work is always top-notch. My personal favorite of the customs is "Slow Burn", based on an Auburn replica (not a real one, as has been stated from time to time). I could definitely drive this.
Rob Hall Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Those would make a great line of custom kits for Revell...I esp. like the 'Slow Burn' and the 'Black Pearl' '48 Jaguar..
JollySipper Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 The "Black Pearl" mentioned by Mr. Hall............
1930fordpickup Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 His taste in cars is much better than his taste in Music.
Deano Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 His taste in cars is much better than his taste in Music. Heh! That's funny, right there!
JollySipper Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 His taste in cars is much better than his taste in Music. I've always liked the "ballad" type songs of theirs better than the speed metal stuff......... STR8 EDGE!

iamsuperdan Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 James is THE reason I got serious about playing guitar, and Metallica was one of my biggest influences, even though my bands never really sounded like them.As a rhythm player, he was definitely my biggest influence. Scott Ian from Anthrax a close second. And then when I found out he was a car guy? Made him even cooler in my eyes.I don't typically like hot rods per se, but if any model company chose to do kits of his builds, I'd buy every one.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 finally..., something to use the Pyro Auburn Speedster as a starting point. Great minds think alike, obviously. That was my first thought when I saw that car.
PARTSMARTY Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 I like the Deuce better than the fat-fendered thing.X2
JollySipper Posted April 22, 2017 Author Posted April 22, 2017 He must have an affinity for the "Full Figured" autos........ Maybe likes his women curvy too!
JollySipper Posted April 26, 2017 Author Posted April 26, 2017 The interiors of his cars are as elegant and tastefully done as the outside................
JollySipper Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 I bet the scooter has been chopped, sectioned, lowered, louvered, shaved and scalloped by now!
