NYNS Franky Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Been off for quite some time now. Think my last completed build was June 2016. Got back into this January and have been full steam ahead. I will admit that 2 were Snap-tite, one Fujimi curbside, but the last 2 were full builds. Snap-tites and the Fujimi where fun for me and the best way of seeing results quickly! Will be posting all off them shortly. Anyway, here is the Revell 1963 Snaptite Corvette. Finished in Tamiya rattle can white with no clear, and Tamiya X7 red. Hope you like!
donb Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 White and red always go together nicely and you did a great job on this corvette. Very nice indeed.
Jim B Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Very nice looking Vette. Don't underestimate the snappers!
Lizard Racing Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 If you hadn't told me, I would have thought it was a real car!
Snake45 Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Very nice! I've built two of these and found their bodies at least as accurate as any 1/25 Sting Ray kit ever done. You got a great finish with that white paint, too!
ZIL 111V Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 WOW! Stunning indeed! Beautiful work, hard to believe that this is a basic S-T kit:
Jim B Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Bob Downie did something very similar to this in the June 2012 issue of Scale Auto. I've been wanting to try it since I read the article, now I really want to try it!
DumpyDan Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Looks great, I would have thought this might be a 1/8 scale. Nicely detailed

I've been wanting to try it since I read the article, now I really want to try it!Do the roadster one too. If you can find the roadster molded in dark metallic blue with tan interior, it polishes out magnificently!

Happy I did because I never would have thought the snap tites could look this nice!Thank you all for the great comments!
