geetee66 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Excellent!Looks like the real thing.Super clean build. I love it.
StevenGuthmiller Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 Thanks everyone. It was one of my first attempts at trying "Metro" paints many years ago.I believe it was Ford "Wimbledon White".I wish that I could still get this stuff. It was a lacquer in a spray can with a fan spray nozzle. This is straight paint. No clear, no polishing. Steve
Dann Tier Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 All that white and chrome looks REALLY good together!!
W-409 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 '65 Impala is a very nice body, so great to see that you've built one! That white color fits very well on it and the chrome parts and darker panel lines make it look really good. Very nicely done as always!
Lunajammer Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Another stellar presentation. Hard to believe that kit's that old already.
StevenGuthmiller Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Thanks guys!darker panel lines make it look really good. Very nicely done as always! Thanks Niko. This was from my "younger" days when I was still using black for the panel lines.I wouldn't do them that dark today. Hard to believe that kit's that old already.Yeah, tell me about it!Makes me feel really old!I remember like it was yesterday when this series started from Monogram, starting with that "revolutionary" '59 Caddy.
