Rocking Rodney Rat
I started this one several months ago. I might even finish it one day! Taking two of the old AMT 'Twister' AWB drag bodies and moving the rear wheel wells back into stock position was the first step.... -RRR Edited May 27, 2017 by Rocking Rodney Rat

bobthehobbyguy
Nice start. I thought the rat packer was suppose to be a 65. What chassis are you going to stuff under it.
Slotto
Wow! Nice save. I have the same body with the altered wheel base. Now that I see how its done, I may give it a shot. Thanks!
Rocking Rodney Rat
Nice start. I thought the rat packer was suppose to be a 65. What chassis are you going to stuff under it.I believe you are correct. Apparently there are small differences between '63-'65? I'm a street rod kinda guy, so I'm not that up on my '60s body styles... -RRR
Rocking Rodney Rat
So, in order to make a pro touring style car, we will need some rear tubs, but not THAT big. I slightly "de-tubbed" the chassis from the AMT '66 Nova.... -RRR
Snake45
Absolutely fabulous! I'll be watching this one! Do you have any particular plans for the leftover donor body? I have a Trumpeter '63 convertible that I'd like to build as a hardtop. and I could make excellent use of your organ donor. Let me know what you'd need in trade for it. Rocking Rodney Rat
A Pro Touring car need s a cowl induction hood, resin cowl grafted to stock hood...sneak peek at stance. Wheels and tires are Pegasus... -RRR

Rocking Rodney Rat
Next we turn our (yes, I have a mouse in my pocket) attention to the front end. Cut off the stock frame and stub in the frame from the Revell Willys kit along with it's suspension, along with scratch built shock towers and crossmember, it goes together something like this.... -RRR
DumpyDan
I have been thinking of doing this with the Nova wagon by AMT. Great work will be watching

om617
Great start. I guess it`s a taste thing, but on these small body cars, huge diameter wheels tend to make it look like a Jadaor lowered donk. Whatever route it goes i assume it will look fantastic.

MeatMan
Great chassis work! I love the way you reduced the wheel wells on the rear, and the front suspension is nice as well.
