Freeman Cars Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 In progress photo of first of three planned bodies for the Foose Cadillac kit. Also working on sedanette mild custom body, sedan delivery, and possibly a station wagon. Planning to have body shown in the photo ready to mold in a week or so.
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 VERY nice lines on the hardtop. I prefer to do my own, but what you have going there looks great. Nice work, and I hope you sell a bunch of them. That looks so good, I might even buy one.
SSNJim Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 A CHOPPED CONVERTABLE UPTOP WOULD LOOK GOOD AS WELLI thought that's what the roof on the kit was supposed to be. Definitely chopped, it looks like it has stitched seams around the edges, and visible ribs in the top. Maybe it's a Carson top type thing. I'm not familiar with the car, so I could be wrong.
Mr. Metallic Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Looks great. So, when this is done, where can we purchase Freeman Cars products?

misterNNL Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 You said this fastback was the first of three bodies you were planning based on the Foose-illac.What are the others?

stavanzer Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 A Wagon. Awesome! That is two kits I'll need. The Roadster idea that somebody suggested sounds good too.
misterNNL Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Thanks "sfhess",I couldn't see the woods 'cause all the trees were in the way!
Freeman Cars Posted October 30, 2017 Author Posted October 30, 2017 Finally done! Other work at the shop kept me from finishing it as quick as I wanted. Basic body will include a template to cut out a rear package tray from behind the seats, or perhaps cast the extra piece if there's enough interest. Let me know what you think.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 That's pretty cool. Are you keeping the Eldorod scripts on the fenders?
carman1 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 A Wagon. Awesome!X2 Never enuff wagons on the market !
Mr. Metallic Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) That came out great. I'll be looking for it on that auction site. Been waiting to build my kit until I got this body Edited October 31, 2017 by Mr. Metallic
djflyer Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 e bay, and shows if i start doing that again. What is your seller name on the 'bay?
socal76 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) I hope you do the wagon next. That is my first choice to get! Edited November 7, 2017 by socal76
Dadbert Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Just joined this forum to keep track of this; I’m definitely interested in this body, and would be interested in a wagon as well. For me, I’d appreciate an intorior tub; limited modeling time at present means it would stand a much greater chance of getting built sooner rather than later.
Mr. Metallic Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I've seen lots of activity from Freeman Cars on eBay lately, and I keep looking to see one of these pop up. Obviously Sam is busy casting, hopefully this body is next.
Freeman Cars Posted November 23, 2017 Author Posted November 23, 2017 I'm just trying to make this body perfect. If you look at the photos carefully, the rear trunk line isn't quite up to snuff. I'm getting close. Please be patient. I'm just trying to make something really good here.Check out what's taking all my time and keeping me away from the model car work bench more than I would like:www.freemanautomotivedesign.com
1930fordpickup Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Keep it under wraps until you are happy with it Sam. We can wait, as the stash is bigger than it should be anyway. I do like the Sunbeam Tiger you have in your link.
