Tom99 Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 I rebuilt this 1960 Mercury, and painted it Scale Finishes 1960 Mercury Javelin Bronze Color code 'H'. There had to be a whole tube of glue holding everything together. Here are before and after pictures.
Foxer Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Beautiful save! I always loved the rear of this car. Best friend's Dad had a black one parked next-door ... under my stare.
Curt Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Nice save, Tom. She's a beauty now! Those fender skirts would have scared me off...
espo Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Beautiful redo. You would never know that was the glue bomb in the before picture. It looks like who ever built this the first time used every part in the 3 in 1 kit.
Sixties Sam Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 What a great transformation! Very nice work on a rare model. Excellent!Sam
John Goschke Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Nice work bringing this one back from the dead.
geetee66 Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Top restoration. You gave it a new lease of life!Looks classy...and I don't think I've ever seen one before.
CometMan Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Always like seeing this one, especially the hardtop. Nice save, Tom!
