Jurva Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 (edited) Revell's somewhat questionable snapkit kit. Lot's of small changes have been made to make it look less toyish. - 4mm lowering- Brakes added, with new wheels and tyres.- Headlights were painted with silver backing. Removed that and added some random reflectors.- Rear panel painted with smoke color, to hide kits hideous rear lights, which paint cannot be removed.- All the markers had to painted along with the interios parts- New tail pipes- Added side mirrors from 350Z and some random rear view mirror. espo Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I like the stance and the color. The contrasting color of the wheels in a dark red gives the model a very strong look.
webestang Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Nice build! And now I want one of those kits....!!!
kelson Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Very surprising we haven't seen a full detail kit yet,and nice build btw
donb Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Modifications are perfect. It looks sinister!
vamach1 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 (edited) This car has been out for three years and we still do not have a non-snap kit. Are the model companies asleep? Rant over. Great job on this. Edited September 20, 2017 by vamach1 111
Jurva Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 Thanks for the comments. Forgot to mention that I also added sidemirrors from 350Z and some random rear view mirror.
Spex84 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I like this treatment a lot. Red and blue can be too extreme a contrast sometimes, but the dark blue and red combo is quite subtle. The car looks darned tough! And certainly a huge improvement over what comes in the box. Well done.
PARTSMARTY Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 I like the stance and the color. The contrasting color of the wheels in a dark red gives the model a very strong look. x2
cobramike Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 This car has been out for three years and we still do not have a non-snap kit. Are the model companies asleep? Rant over. Great job on this.crying shame! I have actually e-mailed revell begging them to step up and get a model of the 2003/4 Mustang and the 2015/16/17 Mustangs. The answer back was "that's a good idea and we will be exploring the possibility of bringing them to market"! That was 2 years ago.come on companies, give us what we want and not these lamo snap tite models. Are they not interested in earnings?
Funkychiken Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Great build on this.I have one in the stash, but the interior of this snap kit is awful... You have done the car justice tho, and nice mods!
crazyjim Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Sharp build. It looks wicked and I like it.
aurfalien Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Hi,W0W, looks awesome and one I'd like to drive!
Jurva Posted September 26, 2017 Author Posted September 26, 2017 Great build on this.I have one in the stash, but the interior of this snap kit is awful... You have done the car justice tho, and nice mods!I added some Molotow chrome to the interior to spice it up. Interior was somewhat simplified.
