Brutalform Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Finished this up a couple weeks ago. It was a fun build. Can't wait till the new release with the SOHC comes out.
TarheelRick Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Mighty fine looking Comet. Beautiful replica, and that paint is so smooth. What kit did you score that Ford SOHC engine from?

smhardesty Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Great looking Cyclone. Very clean and neat looking. Excellent paint job.
Dragline Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 That was a very bright car wasn't it? You did a great job here....

Old Coyote Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Beautiful build sir ............ very nicely done!
Codi Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Beautifully executed Tom. That's one to be proud of for sure. cheers, tim
bogger44 Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 I need to wipe the drool off my keyboard now. Excellent build, Tom. Very well done. What did you paint the cam covers with?....it looks very convincing.

The paint is Tamiya AS-10 Ocean Gray. It's not perfect, but it was a close match to the real car. Edited October 9, 2017 by Brutalform .
DumpyDan Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Well done, engine looks like it just might start up.

I used Tamiya Italian Red for the exterior and interior, with Dull Cote on the interior. If I remember correctly... I used Tamiya Dull Red for the interior floor.
