Yellow Headlights for Race Cars

Anybody know how to make yellow headlights. I looked for clear yellow paint but only found amber for the turn signals.

Tamiya X-24 is clear yellow. Paint the inside of the glass, so it stays shiny and smooth on the outside ?

Len... I would think that you could use Tamiya Clear yellow or Mr. Hobby Clear Yellow. I have used the Tamiya Clear smoke to tint windows before and that worked for me. I am also thinking that you may be able to use some Future tinted with some food coloring?? I have never tried the Future myself but I would think it would work.

I use yellow, orange and red Sharpie to color my lenses.

Why not use a yellow highlighter?  Tellow sharpies would work too.

Thanks everyone for all of your replies. I went with the Tamiya X24 clear yellow acrylic. It looks killer. I will post some pics later today..

There were yellow trees in the older AMT truck kits that had various size lenses and marker lights

another idea, however would probably be alot harder (i havent even tried going yellow yet, first wanna get a grip on building before doing mods etc), get some yellow tinting foil at a local shop, and cut that up real small, i can only imagine the fact that this should work...

Except that food coloring issn't stable.  It tends to fade over time.
