1930fordpickup Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) I think this is the wrong year but i am not a Mopar guy. Just a little inspiration. Detroit AutoRama a few years back. Hey it is an Orange Pro Street Mopar. Edited October 13, 2017 by 1930fordpickup
Geno Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Wow, that is Killer, in more ways than one. I'm a watching this one. '70 is my favorite year RR.
gotnitro? Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 ok time for a weekend update ! I added the seatbelts using a borrowed set from detail master I installed the glass, hit the chrome trim using the Molotow pen and in went the interior tub ! lets peak thru the windows...pretty Spartan now for my favorite part...no RR would be complete without the hood stripe. I used 1:1 pinstripe tape to lay out the separation lines reverse masking the black sections. Then just cover everything else up, break out the Eclipse AB and lay on Tamiya flat black..easy peezy masking.. pulled the tape off right after painting to reduce edges..a few touch ups are needed , but I'm pleased witht the hood the air grabber panel has to be installed next thanks for looking any comments welcome !
gotnitro? Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 This is turning out VERY nice! Thanks ! I usually build trucks and armor , but starting to get into the cars since there's more variety. I used the reverse masking on the IH eagle 2 cabover a few months ago. planning another Mopar but in sublime green ..love the high impact colors they used
smhardesty Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Coming along really nicely, Jeff. Hood striping looks great!Did you do all the chrome around the windows with the Molotow pen? If so,,,, NICE JOB.
gotnitro? Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 steve- yes all the chrome is done by the molotow pen, it does need a few touch ups where the pen didn't fit !
Dann Tier Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Fantastic job on the flocking!!!, believe it or not, I still haven't tried it, I usually use super thin felt, or thin plush cloth for my carpets. This whole build is coming around NICELY!!!!!!

You should post some of your armor in the "All The Rest" category of the forums here; I'd like to see what you've done, just based on your clean building style. +1 on those high impact colors. What a time in automotive history! Edited October 23, 2017 by bisc63 left out info
towman1271 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Looking great Jeff.. Just about to the finish line!
gotnitro? Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 Looking great Jeff.. Just about to the finish line! Thanks towman !
gotnitro? Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 well, its officially finished !! I wrapped up the engine bay with a very basic wiring job, using a pre wired cap from gopher racing. A few extra wires were added from the battery going to starter and neg to block. I added plug boots from tiny tubes of wire insulation, and drilled the heads. I planned going detail heavy, but have a few kits I'm dying to start..Im my own worst critic, and see 100 things Id done over, but sure I'm being picky lol. a huge thanks to Dr. Kerry for trading me a spoiler from the mustang for the build, it fit / looks perfect ! how about pics ..grab the popcorn and enjoy ! last but not least.. thanks for the feedback along the way ! Jeff
gotnitro? Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 ok..I just noticed the 1;1 car had Texas plates..and I cheated and used California ones oops lol
Modlbldr Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Looks really nice. This turned out great. I want to build one someday soon.Later-
smhardesty Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Super job, Jeff. It's a really neat, clean, well done build.
