If your stash is anything like mine we could start building a kit every other day and couldn't get them all built in my lifetime.

I've already "down sized" my stash quite a bit, but not enough as I really don't get that many models built in a years time. Guess I'm too busy with other things, etc.

I have absolutely no time for yet another bloody '57 Nomad, of all things. I'm 53, not 103.

However, wagons must...

You're talking my language Christian, I absolutely love these era Ford Wagons, IMHO the best looking wagons ever built.

A member at our MCCM meeting last night, claims that the '57 Ranchero is coming for sure, too. I'm excited.

I love the fantasy box art kits people are posting above. I too want most of the shown above done as real kits. The model companies seem to have lost steam in offering new releases back in the 70's. There many great cars they missed making models of. Hopefully, that will change in the near future. But, only if we show interest in such things by buying things like  Revell's '76 Torino kit. Looking at responses I'm seeing here, on the threads on that kit, I'm not holding my breath. Interest in the '76 Torino seems low.

We're only a tiny percentage, of people who buy model kits, what counts is sales numbers.

So hoping stores like HL can't stock enough of that kit...

A full detailed '15-17 Mustang...pretty please.

I want this as badly as I want a '71 Riviera.  The Mustang actually seems way more feasible, but if they go for it, they might do an '18 .

And not by a narrow margin.
They will go down in automotive history as the wagons that out-wagoned everything.

On a more serious note, is there actually any info out on what's coming next year?
2017 was pretty dead as far as I'm concerned.

Other than some race cars that may or may not make it out before the end of 2017 from Beemax and Belkits, no.  Nothing I can talk about publicly anyways (not to sound like one of those "insider" people).

But Revell should announce it's 1Q 2018 stuff in a month or so, and then Revell AG announces on New Years Day.

The '71 Riv and '73 LeMans above would be cool. I'd prefer a '72 in the case of the Riv. In either case, it should be a Riviera with the GS package. With the LeMans Sport, I'd hope it would have the parts to do the GTO option version.

We need more 70's stuff. Another odd ball I'd like to see, would be a '79 Chrysler Córdoba with the 300 option. Or how about a '78 or '79 Dodge Magnum. These two may not have been fast cars. But, they sure looked cool.

Two others. How about a Ford Granada or Mercury Monarch? Preferably with the round headlamps. And a '77 or '78 Chrysler LeBaron?

Feels like Hell would freeze over before we get a full detail modern pickup kit. I would love to see a new F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost, and they could easily get returns on their tooling. Sure the Meng kit is out (I have 2), but it’s pricy for a lot of people. I’m sure I’ll complain about this every time this sort of topic comes up, but I know that it is tougher nowadays to release a bunch of new subjects.

Hoping for a re-issue! :D

Not sure if some of you remember the write up on that kit in the "other" magazine back in `94 I believe. Supposedly there is a second generation Camaro kit on the inside? The kit instructions (which were apparently a joke as much as the box art) included a Japanese section for "good will." :D

Sadly you are right. As good as the Meng is, it's the big bloody heavy duty yoke, hardly what is commonly driven down the streets.
The last batch of modern pickup kits they saw fit to administer to us are almost twenty years old by now.

I seriously do wonder at which pace this industry works in this time and age.
Then again, when I see them doing their retarded youtube vids, or visit their websites, which are terminally hilarious and a constant source of severe rofling, I'm not surprised.

The current page 1 of Round2's website:

Has me in stitches!

I haven't seen such dismal rubbish since the last pickup kits were released.

This is how they advertise their newest stuff. You couldn't make it up. I've seen a lot of stand up comedians that were a lot less funny.
What little they had to advertise in the bloody Soviet Union, they advertised more competently.

Yeah, they are pretty out of date now. The newest that isn’t the Meng would be AMTs F150, which could represent up to 2004. The Chevy and Dodge kits would represent up to a 2002. I think each has been through at least 2 generations, possibly 3.

A '71 Riviera would be high on my want list, but as far as '70s models go, I could go for a 1973 Pontiac Grand Am.  Handsome front end were few and far between that year, but I think this one managed to pull it off.

As far as reissues go, I would not be unhappy if Revell brought back any of the Monogram Classics.  Revell Germany is doing a lot of BMWs, so haw about bringing back Heller's BMW 328?

Predictions for 2018?  Revell's '29 roadster is coming back is a small block Chevy, so can we expect to see the coupe being reissued with a Buick engine?

AMT's '32 ford roadster is probably due for a reisuue, and could we see the David Lacy '32 roadster reissue from Revell come back with a few mods?

Around here, there are just as many 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks as there are 1/2 ton trucks. Heck, I have a 2018 Ram Power wAgon (3/4 ton) on order, and spent the spring and summer driving a 2017 F350 Platinum.

Heavy duty trucks are a very common sight!

:)

Anyway...

I'd be into most of the fantasy kits posted here. That Ford wagon? The Greyhound? the used car? Sign me up.
