Curious if a decision has been arrived at yet? My choice is for the inline theme, as noted before, although I have something in mind for either choice.

Cheers Misha

Okay guys. Based upon the results after the poll, our results stand thusly - Vans 8, In-Liners 10, with Foxer voting for both. :D

So I'm gonna call it here, rather than drag this on any further. In-Liners win.

Our theme for 2018 is in-line engines of ANY variety. Transverse, slants, diesel, modern, vintage, foreign, domestic. Any configuration as long as ALL cylinders are in one row.

Lets get planning.

Well I'm stoked. I had a project lined up to do and it involved an inliner so this works great for me. I have most of the parts already, just a few more en route.

Now to get off my can and get this year's entry done...how much time do I have left?

Thanks Cale. Now the the pressure's on. I guess I better set everything else aside. They just dumped more work on me too, so now it's going to be really hard to get the Camaro finished.

Ok, so I already know what I'm doing for the inline theme.

I'm going to start with this Tamiya's Z Tune R34

pre-order-1-24-tamiya-nismo-r34-gt-r-z-t

I'll be opening up the hood and adding in Hobby Design's RB26 engine kit

And since it wont be OOB already, the wheels and tires have to go and get some more HD lovin'  with

And the interior will be stripped out and get some treatment as well, starting with Factory 81's R32 interior kit (hoping I can make it fit)

New seats and harness' as well

I'm sure I'll find some other goodies to stuff inside before it's ready to roll.

As of now, I'm undecided on colour but accents will be red with some CF decals used too.

Looking forward to what other people have planned.

2018 is going to be a busy year for modeling.

Awesome! Time to start planning, now do I go with what I've got at home or buy copious aftermarket parts that I don't currently have... decisions decisions.....

Spoon S2000 or Hybrid Camaro.....

Ditto here. Have been considering a number of possible choices... AMC, Poncho OHC, MG, Hot Rod Ford model T!

Need to decide by January....

I hope to at least get something done next year. Didn't do squat this year. Too many projects got side lined because of missing parts & pieces.

but a couple ideas are flowing like molasses.

Italeri Bugatti Royale Coupe Napoleon has a 12.7 litre straight 8.  That should do the trick.

Or maybe I can remove one bank of cyinders from an AMT Allison and jam it across a Fiero?

So the gates open, Jan 1, 2018?

Yes. I will start the thread a few days prior, so folks can post up their un-started work and check out the rules.

I have several options for my build. Looking forward to it. I'm going to start working on the new hobby room here soon.
