Drag Monster Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) Starting A Restoration of a old AMT kit, 1960 Mercury Comet Edited November 2, 2017 by Drag Monster update
espo Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Definitely a Ford ,but maybe a Fairlane from the look of the door panels.
Drag Monster Posted November 6, 2017 Author Posted November 6, 2017 The Interior is Starting to take Shape.
fairlane1320 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 The Interior is Starting to take Shape. Very nice work!! I wanted to tu-tone the interior on one of my early Comets, but ran out of talent.
dino246gt Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Looking good, I love these cars, Falcons and Comets!
John Goschke Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Really nice work. Excellent choice of color and that interior makes it!
mod3l Lover Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Beautiful Comet there Bill!! It will be areal looker for sure! David S.
Drag Monster Posted November 26, 2017 Author Posted November 26, 2017 Time has been scarce, but I have finally started to make some progress on this rebuild.
Dave Darby Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 aagreeNo. As he posted it's a 1960 Comet. The Comet was originally supposed to be part of the Edsel line and not receive a Mercury nameplate until 1963.
Dave Darby Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 BTW. Looking good! Can't wait to see it finished.
Eshaver Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 I always love seeing these Annuals done up right !
oldnslow Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Wow , I drove one of those to high school , red w red/white interior , 144/c4 , man that car took a beating.
Ron Hamilton Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 That looks very nice. I have a built up '6o or '61 Comet in my collection. It is painted Silver, which I intend to strip, and paint bright red. A friend of mine's Dad had one when we were kids.
Eric Macleod Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 This is looking fabulous, but not lime a Falcon!
