No. As he posted it's a 1960 Comet. The Comet was originally supposed to be part of the Edsel line and not receive a Mercury nameplate until 1963.

That looks very nice. I have a  built up '6o or '61 Comet in my collection. It is painted Silver, which I intend to strip, and paint bright red. A friend of mine's Dad had one when we were kids.
