Safire6 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Mine's not nearly as nice as the one's I've seen on here but here it is anyway! I completed this one before starting on the Little Red Wagon. Wish the proper decals came with the MPC kit.
Classicgas Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Very nice. A great source for the correct engine turned decals is Speedway Decals.
TooOld Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Looks good to me! Me too ! Very clean and a great looking Monkeemobile !
DumpyDan Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 That looks great, I have several of these and haven't built any so good for you.
El Caballo Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I remember watching their show on TV when I was a little kid and recognizing it was a Pontiac.
Hmann68 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Nice! Loved that show when I was a kid and it was on re-runs every day
bbowser Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Built both of those back in the day. Nice work, thanks for the memory jog.
Safire6 Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 Thanks for the comments you guys and thanks Classicgas for the Speedway Decals info.!
Dann Tier Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 What do you mean "not as good"?.....this is one of the NICEST builds of this kit I've seen!!!.......you actually did the chrome trim-lines across the taillights!!!....successfully too!.....I haven't seen anybody else do that.....including myself. VERY nicely done!!
Safire6 Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 Thanks Dann! I simply brushed a thin coating silver paint on a smooth flat surface and carefully placed the taillights in the paint. Took about 4 tries to get it right.
carman1 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Very nice build ! I still think this was one of the most bizzare builds of a GTO ever, but still a neat car !
Mr mopar Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Show rods for ever ..........................I like it!
Mr mopar Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Very nice. A great source for the correct engine turned decals is Speedway Decals. I don't see them on this web site .
Classicgas Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 He made it as a favor for me, but he will make them if you ask. Contact him.
