Autoquiz 348 -Finished

This Times autoquiz was a car from Brazil. The 1973 - 1982 VW Brasilia.  Some of you said that this was the VW 411/412 Variant. Or they gave  me a mixture of booth types as an answer. But that was wrong.

The Brasilia and the 411/412 Looks simililar but the Brasila is based on a KarmanGhia chassis and has the Beetle Engine,  while the 411/412 had a specific Type 4 chassis.

Looking at the overall body, the gas filler cap and the headlight bezels I know what make it is, but I'm too lazy to find the specifics. I guess I'll find out how close I was on Friday.

It looks like a 411 crossed with Golf.

As soon as I saw it I knew it was one from the VW family.  It does have very strong lines of the Golf/Rabbit family, but the grille-less nose, fender-fuel-door, and the rear quarters louvers say "rear engine".

Of course, the biggest clue was parked right beside it!

Well, you can't always depend on that. But it wasn't even needed:  The heritage of the car in question was obvious.
