1320wayne Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Over the past few months I've been concentrating on finishing up numerous started builds that didn't need much work to complete. Here is the next one. Little Red Wagon from the later years. Center drive, larger rear slicks, blower motor and some added homemade graphics to finish off the look. I also removed the windshield center post along with the tops of the doors like the real truck was set up. It's not 100% accurate but it still came out allright, I think.
Dave Van Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 VERY nice work!!!! Always thought that version would be cool....and yours is!
Hmann68 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Looks cool with those big slicks! Nice clean job!
shoopdog Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Great job on a classic! Turned out terrific, and I am really liking that color.
gtx6970 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) I love it, especially the mural on the lower body. You make those yourself ?That little truck sure went thru some changes over the years . Edited November 25, 2017 by gtx6970
1320wayne Posted November 25, 2017 Author Posted November 25, 2017 I love it, especially the mural on the lower body. You make those yourself ?That little truck sure went thru some changes over the years .Thanks for all of the responses. Bill, I did make the side mural along with the Johnny Lightning decal. Everything else is either kit based decals or parts box decal items. I actually have a complete decal layout for this version but I am limited to what I can do in regards to printing because I'm using a simple inkjet printer and can't print white. For these I had to print onto clear decal film and then use a blank sheet of white film to cut out underlayments.
High octane Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Excellent build Wayne of a legendary wheel stander. Here's a couple of photos of one of the LRW that I've seen in a collection a few years back.
geetee66 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Superb work! The paint is terrific. Very tidy build and decal work.
Safire6 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Awesome, I love the slicks and engine details, not to mention the color!
PorkChopPaws Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 As we kids used to say 50 years ago in SoCal ...BITCHIN'!!!
