Brutalform Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Decided to build a chevy since I’ve been on a Ford kick lately. Was going to turbo the car, but decided to go with nitrous. Back halved the car, using a BNL resins BBC, with an auto trans. Got it mocked up except for the headers. Once they are out of the way, time to build a roll cage.
Brutalform Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 Dominator carb, with some square styrene stock for the nitrous plate. Also the home made chute. Nice detail on the valve covers.
NYLIBUD Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Big heavy car, needs a big motor.I mean if it was real...Keep the pics coming. Thanks
Metaldrumm Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Cant wait to see this one done, love where your going .
DumpyDan Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Man that has a nice stance, I will be watching also. I am just about to build a roll cage my self, as soon as I get some round plastic.
geetee66 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Looks great! Definitely looks like a 9 second car ?
El Caballo Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I like this one, almost bought a '66 when I was 18, but it was making lifter noise.
Brutalform Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 Worked on the Impala today. Got the chute mounted on the bumper. Did some work on the roll bar. I started to play around with solder headers on the kit 396 engine. Wanted to practice before messing with the resin engine, since I’ve never done solder headers before. I have .062, but it looks kind of small for a big block, so I’m going to get some .093 solder, and see how that works. Also scratch built an auto shifter, and a couple of pics of the electric fuel pump, and NOS kit I’ll be using from VCG resin.
Brutalform Posted April 21, 2018 Author Posted April 21, 2018 Finally finished the Impala. Now to move on to one of the eight other cars on the bench.
NYLIBUD Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 (edited) Excellent job.The stance is perfect. As well the interior/& roll cage look great Edited April 22, 2018 by NYLIBUD
Dr Cobra Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Is that a chassis cert sticker on your cage ? Does someone make them in scale?
Brutalform Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 Thanks for the positive replies everyone.

I also have an SFI decal on the bell housing of the TH400. Slixx decals is where I got it. They have goody sheets that have many racecar decals, from nostalgia, to modern styles. NHRA, chassis cert, chutes, blowers, NOS. Check out their website.
