It's a funny thing...  I have a resin Divco that was done by Ron Cash way back when.  I was looking for a chassis and how to scratch build the interior,  find suitable decals etc.

Then Danbury Mint came out with their Divco.  I bought it and ya know,  there is no way I could top theirs as a model.

The Danbury Mint DIVCOs are very nice !

I have two of them , just cant bring myself to rework one to make the dairy brand that delivered to our house when i was young.

my dad had a Borden milk route when i was little and remember him taking me with him on the week ends

This thread has been going on so long I can't recall if I've already contributed but:

Both/either...

And for those of a certain age and growing up in Southern Cal.  In something more substantial than die-cut card stock:

Do I remember the Helms Man? They used to have better doughnuts than most standalone bakeries.

Jelly filled ?  And I'm still trying to duplicate their sugar cookies without success.  I eat the rejects without guilt though.

1970 Formula Firebird. Enough with all the Tarns Ams already. The Trans Am wasn't the only Firebird in 1970. A hood tach would be nice too.

I think the hood scopes on the Formula Firebirds were better looking than the TA's. I have made "Hood Tachs" shaped out of plastic scraps for a couple of Pontiac builds.

Couldn't agree more.

I wasn't aware that MPC had done a '72 years ago. Have you seen what kind of cabbage these kits are bringing in today? ?

Now I see the card stock give away truck is going for the same price as the die cast.  Nostalgia is expensive.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/194503237913?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28

The great thing about that mint and unfolded piece is you can have color copies made from heavy card stock, build one of those and frame the old one for display in your model room. There is one in lesser condition on the bay today that would make a decent model for less money.

Except for one quite rare '70 or '71 T/A, all the MPC Firebirds were Formulas right from '70 or '71 up through '76. I have a 1/2 decent '74 re-builder, another '74 I'm converting to a T/A "canyon carver" and a pretty nice '76 promo. I don't think I paid more then the price of a new kit for any of them.

Just my 2 cents but it would be nice to see the 32 Fords done with the proper chassis, tank and suspension to build as 40s or 50s hot rods. 32 Phaeton with a proper interior.

Buick. 53 Buick Roadmaster, and how about a 62 Skylark?

Any Mercury from the 50s.

50 Plymouth Business Coupe.

That would be a good seller,

and after the main tooling was done , other variants could be made. My dad had one just like this 1963 Dodge Town Wagon  same color 2 wheel drive

Yea, but that's an extreme example. Just because he's asking that for it doesn't mean anyone's gonna buy it for that.

He's also asking 90 bucks for a reissue '72 Chevelle from a few years ago. Ridiculous price for a common as dirt kit.

There is also another one on eBay now that's up to $100 with 7 days left and 7 people watching. I'd rather pay the 8 bucks and shipping for the resin hood since that's the only thing I need for this project.
