Junkman Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 As shown at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. Don't ask me, because I don't know it either.
mike 51 Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Those kits are amazing....a new standard for the industry.
niteowl7710 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 They'e been hauling those DS21s around since the Toy Fair back in February. The question is when are they actually going to release it. They've been pretty quiet on the plastic kit front this year other than the updated McLaren-Honda F1 car and the Citroën HY kits.
niteowl7710 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 So dare I say FINALLY, this kit is being put up for pre-order. Not for the faint of heart or the weak of wallet, this one is gonna have a price tag between $75-80 directly from Japan.

niteowl7710 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 The DS21 is 1000Y more expensive on MSRP - 8800 vs. 7800 (for the DS19). Final pricing will determine on your vendor choice and their discount, I seem to recall paying about $67 for the DS19, but the exchange rate was better then too.
Zoom Zoom Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 This is the one I wanted in the first place...got the DS19 too, maybe time to build it to practice up on the fit of the doors/hood/etc. Rode a few times in a '72, what a spaceship...so smooth, comfortable, and quiet. The owner's only complaint was it was painfully slow, but it averaged 27-32 MPG which in the mid-70's was pretty stellar.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Saw one in Charleston the other day. Guy said he traded 3 Minis for it.
The Creative Explorer Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I don't like how the headlights look. It looks like the put a perspex cover over USA-spec headlights, rather than the Euro ones.+
martinfan5 Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 Release is set for Oct, so enough time to save your pennies for it.
Junkman Posted May 4, 2018 Author Posted May 4, 2018 Something fishy about the headlights. They neither resemble US, nor Euro spec ones. Japanese spec maybe? Why the Parisian numberplates then? The rear indicator 'flutes' are also wrong for a post facelift car.
