hpiguy Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Enjoyed every second of mine. Three types of grill decals, three construction companies on the decal sheet too.
Bennyg Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Any news on availability of decals and photoetch for the dozer? Ben

Ben Jerry at Modeltruckin.com has the original decal sheet. Jamie Rahmoeller has the brass etch set for it. Moluminum.com it’s not on his site I don’t think. Just contact him through the site.

kilrathy10 Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Just ordered one from 3000toys.com....They have them in stock....I would have ordered more, but I ordered 2 more, earlier this year from megahobby, but they're still in "preorder" status.....
kilrathy10 Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Both 3000 toys and Megahobby, now have them....I just received mine.....
OldTrucker Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 This is a must get for me! Had the original release only to have my wife's little brothers find it stored in their garage and play with it! Mine will have to look like it just came out of the rebuild shop. No way I can do that kind of weathering!

Ben Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 At least they gave you three grill decal choices of grills it never came with! LOL

Probably the same this time around. That’s why I need to know on this specific kit. There was one issue that did come with hard styrene tracks. The reason I ask is that paint doesn’t like adhering to that vinyl plastic.

Ace-Garageguy Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Gots to gets me some of these. So glad I didn't spring for the $100+ asking-prices before they went back into production. Now I can get three for about the same money. (Oh boy, at least two more kits I'll probably never get to. )
GLMFAA1 Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I just read through this thread and pulled out a 2nd or 3rd release kit, circa 15 years ago, The treads were vinyl and I saw why the cleat is so large. The cleat is the part of the shoe where the connection is made to make up the track that is why it is so large. I experimented and found a way to shave the cleat down but can't thin it due to the connecting engineering under the track shoe. I plan on posting a 'how to' which worked for me. Guess my Fire Department is going to get a bulldozer. greg

I think it was the previous issue before this one, in the blue box.

PettyKW43 Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Fabulous to have this back , regrettably I sold off the second issue kit that I had. Do have 3 sets of old AMT stick on decals so hopefully out of the three I can get at least one ste to adhere!
Warren D Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Got mine yesterday and have the PE for it. Does anyone have info as to what the PE parts are for? I know the obvious ones, grill, pedals etc, but there are some of the smaller bits that are eluding me.
