Oldcarfan27
Great Idea! Make sure you display it with the other 1/8 scale rods when you're done. That would be an impressive sight for sure.
damodelguy az
well, another wild hair, grabbed a shirt outta the closet and new idea, how bout a closed cab, also
damodelguy az
realized i needed 4 steps in moldings to side windows, so side windows got a bit more chopped looking. something else i realized is this big stuff can wipe out your work space. also, for those that are number people. im not as much, im a visual person. cant tell you the bed is 5 foot and other is 6 and 1/2. dont really know. its creativity for me. what i see. the look i see. thanx for looking
damodelguy az
as youve noticed i bounce around, but im in the 1/8 scale at the moment. the 2 old kits i have i realized have a few missing pieces. had to make another frame rail, steering box, upper block for the front end spindels to back plates. lucky i did pickup 2 yellow kits bout 10 ago also. opened the only unbuilt one i have left to use for copies. the chassie looks weird because its all been dechromed. we having fun yet, i am, at the moment anyway. enjoy oh ya your now caught up to now from the past 3 weeks of this (these) projects. Mr. Metallic
Your scratchbuilding skills are impressive. Missing frame rail??? Just make a new one! Excellent. I'm following. But I have a feeling once a mod sees this it will get moved to the big scale area

dino246gt
I love these kinds of posts, showing step by step, and it IS impressive how you start with plain pieces of styrene and create a pickup body in large scale, wow, cool! And I love that black channeled roadster with yellow rims, man I've gotta get going on one of my own Big Dueces, um, someday! Cheers. LDO
Nice work. What did you use for the back corners and back wall of the roadster cab? Was it sheet styrene or kit parts? It's a really nice looking model. Very impressive.
