Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 If I had the cash, I would get a huge number of cars, most of them would be 1948 Fords and 1940 Fords. Like I already have the Galaxies I wanted, those flathead powered fat fendered cars are quite a dream (along a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Sedan in Inca Gold and Colonial White... And of course a bone stock, like new, 1932 Ford Model 18 Victoria...) Anyway, I would tend to have more base model 1940 Fords, as I think they look better than the Deluxe versions. And would daily drive a '40, restored to 100% stock, and probably in Cloudmist Gray. Such car is the one I built and show you guys. It's far from perfect as I built it in 5 days, as I was waiting for some paint for my Lindberg '53 Crestline Victoria. Hope you guys like this little fat fendered driver. 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Daily Driver by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr
oldnslow Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Your collection of 40's looks great , have you considered building one of every color available in 40 ?
BigTallDad Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Awesome work (as usual) and a stunning collection. When are you going to build a '40 convertible?
espo Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 That would make a great daily driver. The only thing I would do different would be to run amok in the Edelbrock Catalog for the engine.

Yep!! I built the Revell kit in all three color available for the car. Now, for the Deluxe version, I'll have to use the AMT kit, and I only have two unbuilt. 7 hours ago, BigTallDad said: Awesome work (as usual) and a stunning collection. Built one more or less like that, with Motor City Flathead engine hop up goodies, dual exhaust, and lowered suspension. It's the Maroon '40 on the left row.

peekay Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 That looks fantastic. I also love the standard look without white wall tyres etc.
