Hello friends,

I spotted my dream car at a local car show.  Spent some time with the owner who graciously allowed me to photograph and sit on it.  Very cool guy and we ended up talking for a long time.   This has to be my all time favorite road car.  Right car, right year, right color, right engine, right tranny.    He has owned the car for over 40 years and he is amazed at the value it has acquired, in the six figures already.   We agreed he would be the first one to know if I hit the Powerball.

I put the pictures in a short video.  Notice my stupid smile at about 25 seconds into the video ?

Thanks,

That is a beautiful Corvette and I would like to be second in line if possible! Love the color combination and drivetrain! An old co-worker had a similar Vette- 66 with the 427 single carb set up- and it provided many smiles when we'd go for rides!

Pretty much my dream car too, but it would have to have the hard top and lose the whitewalls. Ideally it would be one of the small-block cars built in the spring of '67 when for a brief while all they had was big-block hoods so the 327 cars got the stinger hood. You are obviously a man of style and taste! B)

While I do like Corvettes and have driven a few, I don't like them enough to buy one. I much rather have a muscle car and the Corvette is not, it's a sports car.

My uncle bought a new vet in 1970. Gold with black interior and a white convertible top. He could only afford one option at the time and so he chose the 454 ( or 455) big block. 4 Speed. No a/c. Because of the big block it was a rare bird. Hw just sold it last year with less than 50,000 original miles. All original. Never painted or anything. I have no idea what he sold it for.

Nice story, too bad he didn't consider gifting it to you, that would have been a great gift!

Add the side pipes (only car I like with side pipes) and you have one of my dream cars as well.

I know. He was going to leave it to his son or daughter and neither of them wanted it. Can you imagine? Ugh.

He should disown them.

i suppose we could argue whether there are nicer cars, but you have to admit, that one is really nice.

You are right. Sorry to cut into the original post. It's a beautiful vette. :)

And I totally agree that his children are idiots for turning their noses up at it.

I like it!!!

First car I ever took down the drag strip was a 67 Corvette convertible! But it was far from stock!

Belonged to my bands older brother. 427 with a tunnel ram , teardrop hood scoop, 4:56 gears out back.

Car dealer repossessed it while he was in Vietnam so before his girl friend took it back to the dealer all of us in the band took all the goodies off and replaced them with stock parts that he had most of in the garage attic. Car sure ran bad with that huge cam and a stock intake and carb on it!LOL We even changed the rear end to the stock one! 4 steel wheels with bald tires too!

The dealer was mad because he thought he was getting the car they way it was raced!LOL

he wasn't supposed to be repossessing the car from a guy overseas anyway!

You have very good taste in automobiles. I'll bet that 40 years ago he thought he paid to much for this car. Time has proven this to be the best retirement plan and he got to enjoy it for the last 40 years.

"Bullet Vettes"

???

Not familiar with that one.

I never heard it either, but I guess he means the '63-'67s.
