Thanks Ray & Carl. Fabricated the seat cushions and better pedals.  Modified a wheel knock off for the fuel tank cap.

Added brackets for the accelerator and brake linkage.

I'm glad I saw this thread now, really nice fabrication with that Datsun Pickup. The Kart looks very good, too. I've never thought about these kits, but now after seeing your project, I just might have to buy one.

Glad you like it Niko.  The Datsun mini pickups are cool. Do an internet search and you will find many build style options.

I'll add a racing number when I find correct size decals but otherwise the kart is finished.

Fits nicely in the bed of the truck.

That cart came out nice JC...

are you thinking of dropping the truck a bit still..? Np if not, Love the stock look

Cheers

To get it any lower Bruce I would have had to "Z" the frame or some other major frame surgery trick.  I lowered the suspension both front and rear several scale inches. A low profile or stretched wall tire and a smaller diameter wheel would helped lower the truck but I didn't choose the go that route.

I like the dark yellow...

Me too.

Something about the color screams '70's Datsun to me... looks right at home on this truck.

Thanks Trevor.  Have the hood painted and started work on the grille.  Unfortunately the kit doesn't provide clear headlight lenses so I have to find replacements.

Grill looks good. Wasn't too fond of the color at first but it is growing on me. Too be fair I am partly color blind so perhaps i don't see it true.

Thanks Ray.  The lights above my work bench have a yellow tint so you aren't quite seeing the true color.  I'll get some photos in natural light when it is finished.  Here is the Tamiya paint sample:
