Ryansrust6 Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Did this one as an abandoned old bug hope to one day put it in a desert scene diorama with real cactus as my girlfriend loves plants so we can add to our collection. I tried some outdoor photos should have waited for the sun but oh well thanks fir looking Ryan
espo Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 That is one sorry looking Beetle, I mean that in a good way. As for the Diorama you could add some moss and black mold and put it in a forest setting.

Lot's of photographers refer to an overcast day as "nature's softbox". My preferred type of day is definitely an overcast day. Don't hesitate to take outdoor photos just because the sun isn't shining brightly.

Mahogany Rush Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Nice job. Looks kinda like the one Woody Allen finds in the movie Sleeper.
bbowser Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Very convincing weathering. And the outdoor photos are great. SMHardesty is correct, diffuse outdoor light is much preferable to harsh sun and deep shadows.
NOBLNG Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Too much air in the tires, but other than that it is PERFECT.

Tom Geiger Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Looks great! Post some photos of it with the cacti! I had the idea to do the same thing with a small scale car, using a Margarita mix bucket
