I have a kit of an Aston in my stash, need to see how close to this in detail.  It is not the Bond version.  The solder wire trick is a great idea.  I used stretched sprue on the MB 170V Roadster, a bit inconsistent.  Will stay tuned.....

They are Beautiful cars, Kurt!  My wife has the original Monogram DB4 kit, and even that is STILL a brilliant kit!

Defiantly an added touch. As with many aspects of scale building, size maybe an issue. Either way I am sure it will look the part.
